- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together ½ cup softened butter and 1 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon almond extract, ½ teaspoon salt, and 1 large egg until creamy.
- Whisk together 1 teaspoon baking soda, ½ cup cocoa powder, and 2 cups all-purpose flour, then combine with wet ingredients.
- Roll out the dough and cut out bat shapes using a bat cookie cutter.
- Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until set, then cool on a wire rack.
