Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic, then let rise for 30 minutes covered with a towel.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Punch the dough down, roll it into a rectangle about ½ inch thick, and cut into 1 inch wide strips. Place on a lined tray and let rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Melt the butter and mix with garlic powder. Brush this mixture over each breadstick, adding red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese if desired.
  4. Place breadsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
  5. Remove and brush with leftover garlic butter, sprinkle with parsley, and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
