Method
 

Cupcake Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with liners.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. In a measuring glass, combine vanilla extract, whole milk, and sour cream; whisk until smooth.
  4. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add eggs one at a time.
  5. Slowly add dry ingredients alternately with wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fill muffin cups two-thirds full and bake for 18-22 minutes; check for doneness.
  7. Cool cupcakes in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and other frosting ingredients.
  9. Frost cooled cupcakes and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
