Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Soften for easy spreading.
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream or Mayonnaise For a lighter twist, yogurt can be used.
  • 2 tbsp Dill (finely chopped) Can substitute with parsley for a different taste.
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt Sea salt works as a substitute.
For the Sandwiches
  • 1 whole English Cucumber Slice thinly for optimal crunch.
  • 8 slices Sandwich Bread White or whole wheat bread can be used.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream or mayonnaise, finely chopped dill, and kosher salt. Mix until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Wash the cucumber and slice it thinly, aiming for about 1/8-inch thick rounds. Layer cucumber slices on half of the bread slices.
  4. Place the remaining cream cheese-covered bread slices on top of the cucumbers and press down gently.
  5. Trim the crusts from the sandwiches and cut each sandwich into quarters.
  6. Arrange the cut sandwiches on a platter and garnish with additional dill or cucumber slices.
