- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream or mayonnaise, finely chopped dill, and kosher salt. Mix until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Wash the cucumber and slice it thinly, aiming for about 1/8-inch thick rounds. Layer cucumber slices on half of the bread slices.
- Place the remaining cream cheese-covered bread slices on top of the cucumbers and press down gently.
- Trim the crusts from the sandwiches and cut each sandwich into quarters.
- Arrange the cut sandwiches on a platter and garnish with additional dill or cucumber slices.
