Method
 

Preparation
  1. Thaw puff pastry at room temperature for about 30 minutes until pliable.
  2. Combine cream cheese and sugar in a bowl, beat until smooth. Add egg yolk, lemon juice, and vanilla; mix until velvety.
  3. Cut puff pastry into six rectangles on a baking sheet. Score a border and fill with cream cheese mixture.
  4. Brush egg wash around edges and sprinkle coarse sugar on top.
  5. Bake in preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk; drizzle on cooled pastries.
