  • 3 cloves Garlic Use fresh minced garlic for best taste
For the Creamy Sauce

  • 4 ounces Cream cheese Low-fat cream cheese can lighten it up
  • 1 cup Chicken stock Vegetable broth is a great alternative
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Pecorino Romano can be used if desired
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Feel free to omit or substitute with dairy-free alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika enhances flavor

Equipment

  • Large oven-safe skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a large skillet, add bacon over medium heat and cook until crispy, about 6–8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving 1 tablespoon of the fat in the skillet.
  3. Melt the butter in the remaining bacon fat, then add broccoli florets, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 6 minutes until bright green and tender.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute. Then, pour in heavy cream, cream cheese, chicken stock, half of the grated Parmesan, and paprika. Stir and simmer on low for 3–4 minutes until smooth.
  5. Fold in the crispy bacon and sprinkle the remaining cheeses on top before baking.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes and broil for an additional 2 minutes for a crispy golden top.
  7. Season with freshly ground pepper and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
