  • 1 pound fresh green beans can substitute with frozen green beans
  • 4 medium potatoes opt for starchy potatoes
For the Creamy Mixture
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup can use cream of chicken soup or homemade white sauce
  • 0.5 cup milk
For Flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For the Topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese can substitute with mozzarella
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the potatoes in a large pot of water for about 10 minutes until tender.
  3. Add the green beans and cook for an additional 5 minutes, then drain.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Layer the boiled potatoes and green beans in a greased baking dish, pour the creamy mixture over the top.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  7. Add crispy fried onions on top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
