Preparation Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken thighs with olive oil, garlic powder, lemon pepper seasoning, and dried parsley. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Flip and brown the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- After browning, reduce heat to medium and add whole garlic cloves to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth, then stir in heavy cream and fresh lemon juice. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the browned chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over them. Cook uncovered on low heat for 15-20 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Plate the chicken, drizzling the sauce over the top and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Adjust cooking times as necessary for different stovetop heating levels.
