Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 block firm or silken tofu A creamy protein powerhouse
  • 3 tbsp tahini Well-stirred before measuring
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed is preferred
For the Flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp cumin Ground
  • 1 tsp oregano Dried
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For the Texture
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Extra virgin for best flavor
  • optional tbsp water To achieve desired consistency

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients (tofu, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper) in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding water if the mixture is too thick.
  3. With the blender running, slowly drizzle in olive oil to enhance creaminess.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with oregano.
