  3. Stir in the chopped fresh tomatoes and cook for another 4–5 minutes until softened.
  4. Pour in chicken or vegetable stock and add the spaghetti, ensuring it is fully submerged.
  5. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook for about 15 minutes until al dente.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in double cream and fresh basil leaves, mixing for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra basil and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
