- In a large saucepan, place 1 cup of chicken broth over medium heat. Allow it to reach a gentle simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning into the simmering broth. Continue heating for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of chopped spinach and ½ cup of sun-dried tomatoes. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spinach wilts.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If desired, stir in additional vegetables or sprinkle in red pepper flakes during the last minutes of cooking.
