Ingredients
  

For the Salad
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage the base of the salad
  • 3 medium julienned carrots brings vibrant color
  • 1 bunch fresh dill or parsley as substitute
  • 1/2 onion (sliced) can use green onions
  • 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds or regular sesame seeds
For the Creamy Dressing
  • 1/4 cup creamy mustard (Dijon or yellow) for zesty tang
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or non-dairy version for vegan
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar adds acidity
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic granules or fresh minced garlic

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Finely shred about 4 cups of green cabbage and julienne 3 medium carrots. Slice half an onion and chop a handful of fresh dill. Gather all in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, chopped dill, sliced onion, and black sesame seeds in the bowl. Toss gently until well-distributed.
  3. Combine creamy mustard, honey or maple syrup, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, and garlic granules in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix gently to ensure everything is coated. Adjust seasoning if desired.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.
