  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/3 cup flour, 3/4 cup of unsweetened plant milk, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Dip the spiced jackfruit pieces into the batter, then dredge in remaining flour and place on a plate.
  4. Heat about 1/2 cup of canola oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Test if the oil is ready by dropping in some batter; it should sizzle.
  5. Carefully fry the coated jackfruit pieces for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
