Step-by-Step Instructions for Coffee Chocolate Cake
- Preheat your oven to 170ºC (340ºF) and prepare three 20 cm (8-inch) cake pans by lining with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together black coffee, vegetable oil, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Slowly fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Evenly divide the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 28-30 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, transfer the cakes to a wire rack to cool completely.
