Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. Add the whole milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract and beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  4. Carefully stir in boiling water to the batter, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before poking holes all over the surface.
  7. Mix sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans, then pour over the holes in the warm cake.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely and then top generously with chocolate frosting.
