Ingredients

For the Fudge
  • 8 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Choose high-quality chocolate for best results.
  • 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1 can Condensed Milk Essential for a creamy texture.
  • 1 cup Sugar Use less for a less sweet fudge.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cream Adds to the custard-like topping.
  • 2 large Egg Yolks Stir constantly to avoid scrambling.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Unsalted is preferred.
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Shredded Coconut Can substitute sweetened coconut.
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts Pecans or almonds can be alternatives.

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Rectangular baking pan
  • Spatula

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine semi-sweet chocolate, milk chocolate chips, and condensed milk. Melt over low heat, stirring continuously for about 5–7 minutes until glossy and smooth.
  2. While the chocolate mixture is melting, line a rectangular baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  3. Pour half of the melted chocolate mixture into the lined pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  4. In another saucepan, combine sugar, fresh cream, egg yolks, and butter over low heat. Stir the mixture continuously for about 5–10 minutes until thickened and creamy.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in shredded coconut and chopped walnuts, stirring to combine.
  6. Spoon the coconut-walnut mixture over the first chocolate layer and spread it evenly.
  7. Pour the remaining melted chocolate mixture over the coconut-walnut layer, smoothing the top.
  8. Refrigerate for about 2–3 hours or until firm. Lift out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.
