- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans. Dust them lightly with flour and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before inverting them onto the racks to cool completely.
