Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, dissolve a 6 oz package of strawberry Jell-O in 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, then allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
- Crush small salted pretzels until they resemble coarse crumbs. Combine the crushed pretzels with melted unsalted butter and sugar, mixing until well combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of your prepared baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until fully incorporated. Spread this layer over the cooled pretzel crust.
- Slice fresh strawberries and fold them into the cooled Jell-O mixture. Pour this layer over the cream cheese topping and spread it evenly.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours until set.
- Once set, cut into squares and serve chilled, garnished with additional fresh strawberries if desired.
