Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by slicing your French baguette or ciabatta in half lengthwise. Scoop out some soft bread from the top half to create space for the fillings.
- Drizzle olive oil on the cut sides of both bread halves. Toast the bread cut side down in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Spread the basil pesto evenly across the bottom half of the toasted bread. On the top half, spread the Calabrian chili paste.
- Drape the slices of prosciutto over the pesto on the bottom half, fluffing and folding for better layering.
- Pat the fresh burrata dry, place it on top of the prosciutto, and break it open slightly.
- Press the top half of the toasted bread down firmly over the fillings, cut in half, and serve immediately.
