Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Christmas Sausage Rolls
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil, add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent. Add sausage meat, sage, thyme, pepper, and salt. Cook until sausage is browned.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into rectangles measuring 4x6 inches.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each pastry rectangle. Fold and seal the edges tightly.
  5. Slice each roll a couple of times on top and brush with beaten egg.
