  • 6 oz Gruyere Cheese Swiss or cheddar can be used
  • 1 tsp Thyme dried thyme works as a substitute

  • 1 tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning optional
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard optional
  • 1 large Egg for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp Heavy Cream for egg wash

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream in a small bowl for the egg wash.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
  4. Add ham and gruyere cheese at the center of each rectangle; optionally add Dijon mustard.
  5. Brush edges of pastry with egg wash, fold corners over filling, and pinch to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with egg wash, sprinkle thyme and everything bagel seasoning before baking.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
