Preparation Steps

  2. Combine softened butter, all-purpose flour, and sugar in a medium bowl until resembling coarse crumbs.
  3. Press two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the lined baking pan evenly.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until lightly golden.
  5. Wash and chop strawberries, toss with sugar and flour to coat.
  6. Spread the strawberry mixture over the warm crust evenly.
  7. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over the strawberry layer and return to the oven.
  8. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until bubbling.
  9. Cool completely in the pan, then prepare the vanilla glaze.
  10. Drizzle glaze over cooled bars, slice, and serve.
