Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350℉. Wash and peel apples, then thinly slice them. Toss apple slices with maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, almond flour, chopped walnuts, and pecans. Add maple syrup, melted vegan butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until crumbly.
- Spread oat topping evenly over apple mixture in the baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, optionally with vegan vanilla ice cream.
