  • 1 can crushed pineapple with juice, well-drained
  • 2 medium sliced bananas tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning

  • 0.5 cup maraschino cherries or fresh cherries
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows or regular marshmallows cut into smaller pieces

  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts optional, use walnuts or pecans
For the Topping
  • 1 tub whipped topping or homemade whipped cream whipped to stiff peaks

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the banana cream instant pudding mix and crushed pineapple. Whisk vigorously for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  2. Gently fold in diced strawberries, maraschino cherries, miniature marshmallows, and chocolate chips into the pudding mixture.
  3. Slice the bananas and toss them with lemon juice before folding them into the mixture carefully.
  4. Gently fold in half of the whipped topping to maintain fluffiness, then add the remaining topping and fold again until well combined.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, gently stir the salad and garnish with additional chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or cherries if desired.
