Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Combine the white cake mix, whole milk, melted butter, and egg whites in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and half and half until combined and smooth.
- Poke holes evenly across the top of the cake and pour the milky mixture over it. Refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.
- Beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the chilled cake and garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed within three days of preparation. Store leftover cake in the refrigerator.
