For the Creamy Filling
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup Half and Half Substitute with a mixture of milk and cream if desired.
For the Whipped Topping
  • 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream Make sure it’s very cold for the best results.
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar Adjust to your taste preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Adds flavor depth that complements the whipped cream.
For Garnish
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries Feel free to replace with other berries for variation.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the white cake mix, whole milk, melted butter, and egg whites in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  4. Whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and half and half until combined and smooth.
  5. Poke holes evenly across the top of the cake and pour the milky mixture over it. Refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.
  6. Beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form, then gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  7. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled cake and garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed within three days of preparation. Store leftover cake in the refrigerator.
