- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
- Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan, stir in the light brown sugar, and boil for 3 minutes.
- Pour the toffee over the crackers, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes or until bubbly and slightly golden.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let sit for 2–3 minutes before spreading.
- Add optional toppings and gently press into the melted chocolate.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.
- Lift the entire sheet out using the foil overhang and break into pieces.
