Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare your breading station by placing three bowls on your countertop. In the first bowl, combine all-purpose flour with black pepper. In the second bowl, beat one egg until smooth. In the third bowl, mix Panko breadcrumbs with sesame seeds.
- Take your log of goat cheese and roll it into small balls, about one tablespoon each. Place the formed balls on a plate.
- Coat each cheese ball in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally roll in the Panko-sesame mixture. Place them on a parchment-lined plate.
- Freeze the coated balls for 20 minutes to help them hold their shape during frying.
- Warm honey in a small saucepan over low heat, adding grated garlic, hot sauce, and chopped sage leaves. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat avocado oil over medium-high heat. Fry the cheese balls in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the fried cheese balls to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Drizzle with spicy sage honey and sprinkle with sea salt. Serve immediately.
