  • 1 tsp Pepper use fresh ground for best taste

  • 1 inch Minced Ginger fresh yields best flavor
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic fresh brings robust flavor
  • 2 stalks Green Onions chopped, substitute with chives if desired
For the Sauces
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce opt for low-sodium version
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce can replace with vegetarian version
  • 1 tsp Sugar or substitute with honey
For Cooking
  • 1/4 cup Cooking Oil choose high smoke point oils

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the sea bass fillets dry and season with salt and pepper. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Fry the fillets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain excess oil.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté ginger and garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add green onions and cook for another 30 seconds.
  6. Return the fried sea bass to the skillet, add sauces and sugar. Toss to coat, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
