Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Hawaiian Roll French Toast
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together 4 eggs, 1 cup of half-and-half, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and a pinch of salt until smooth and well-combined.
  2. Slice each King’s Hawaiian roll in half. Poke holes in the bottom of each half to allow the egg mixture to soak in. Dip each side into the egg mixture for about 30-60 seconds.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Place the soaked rolls cut side down in the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Once all sides are golden, remove from the skillet and transfer to a serving plate. Add toppings as desired.
