Ingredients

To Create the Smoothie
  • 2 cups ripe watermelon scooped out and seeds removed
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries pre-sliced
  • 1-2 whole banana frozen or use zucchini
  • 1 cup vegan yogurt recommended: Forager Project unsweetened
  • 1 whole lime freshly squeezed juice
  • to taste tablespoon maple syrup adjust sweetness as desired
Optional Boosters
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds for added fiber
  • few leaves fresh mint leaves for a refreshing flavor

Equipment

  • High-speed blender

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Start by cutting a ripe watermelon in half and scooping out the flesh, ensuring to remove any seeds. Measure about 2 cups of the watermelon and place it into your high-speed blender. Gather the other ingredients.
  2. With all your ingredients in the blender, secure the lid tightly. Blend on high speed for about 30-45 seconds, until everything is smooth and creamy. If you encounter difficulty with frozen pieces, use a tamper to help push the mixture down toward the blades.
  3. Check the consistency of your Watermelon Smoothie—if you prefer a thinner drink, add a little water to the blender, starting with 1/4 cup. Blend again for another 10-15 seconds until fully incorporated.
  4. Once your smoothie is perfectly blended, pour it into tall glasses or scoop it into a hollowed-out mini watermelon. Garnish with a slice of lime or a few fresh mint leaves.
