Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Heat ½ cup of milk in a saucepan over medium heat until hot, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in 1 tablespoon of dried culinary lavender, cover, and let it steep for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain the lavender-infused milk through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup, pressing the lavender buds gently.
- Pour the strained lavender cream into a mason jar or pitcher and froth with a milk frother for about 30 seconds. Add ¼ cup of heavy cream and froth again briefly.
- In a small bowl, whisk 1-2 teaspoons of matcha powder with 2-3 ounces of hot water until smooth, adding honey or simple syrup if desired.
- Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in ½ cup of cold milk, then gently pour the prepared matcha over the milk.
- Top the drink with chilled lavender foam, spooning it gracefully on top. Optionally, sprinkle dried lavender on top.
