  • 7 Red Smarties Serve as noses for reindeer.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (fan) or 180°C (conventional) and prepare a 9-inch round cake tin.
  2. Mix the sponge ingredients: Combine sugar, flour, and cocoa; whisk before adding oil, milk, and eggs.
  3. Incorporate orange flavors by zesting and juicing the orange into the cake mixture.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  5. Make the buttercream by melting the chocolate, then creaming the butter and gradually adding the icing sugar.
  6. Spread the cooled buttercream evenly across the top of the cake.
  7. Add decorations: Arrange buttons, use Smarties as noses, add edible eyes, and position pretzel antlers.
