Cooking Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- In the same pot, melt 4 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour for 1 minute, then slowly add heavy cream while whisking until smooth, about 2–3 minutes.
- Add Boursin cheese and white cheddar cheese, mixing until completely melted and creamy.
- Fold in the drained pasta, ensuring each piece is well coated. Adjust creaminess with reserved pasta water or milk as needed.
- In a separate skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add breadcrumbs and toast for 3–5 minutes until golden brown.
- Spoon Boursin Mac and Cheese into serving dishes and sprinkle with toasted breadcrumbs. Garnish with chopped herbs if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the creamy and crunchy combination!
