Preparation Steps
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and lime juice until fully combined and smooth.
- Take your flank steak and place it in a resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag tightly and massage the marinade into the meat for a few minutes. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- About 20 minutes before grilling, remove the flank steak from the refrigerator to bring it to room temperature. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, aiming for around 400°F.
- Once the grill is hot, place the marinated flank steak on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without flipping. When ready, flip the steak and continue grilling for another 4-5 minutes, until it reaches medium-rare doneness.
- After grilling, remove the flank steak from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes. Then, slice the steak against the grain.
- Serve the juicy flank steak immediately, paired with fluffy jasmine rice, grilled corn, or a refreshing Asian slaw.
