Preparation

  3. Pour the filling into the unbaked pie shell and spread evenly.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour. Check for doneness after 45 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and set on a wire rack to cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
  6. Slice and serve, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
