  • 4 cups Broccoli Florets fresh maintains crunch
  • 1 medium Diced Onion can substitute with shallots
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic or garlic powder if fresh is unavailable
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil can swap with vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder can be omitted if fresh garlic is used
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder optional if using fresh onion
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese substitute with Monterey Jack or mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream coconut cream can be a dairy-free alternative
  • to taste Worcestershire Sauce optional
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes optional for spice

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 6-8 minutes, until browned.
  3. To the empty side of the skillet, add 1 diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves. Sauté for about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in 4 cups of fresh broccoli florets, mixing them with the beef and aromatics.
  5. Sprinkle in salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste.
  6. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet still crisp.
  7. Gently stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream to create a creamy sauce.
  8. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover for 2-3 minutes until melted.
  9. Drizzle in Worcestershire sauce and add red pepper flakes, then mix gently to combine.
  10. Serve hot, directly from the pan.
