  • 1/2 cup Kimchi store-bought or homemade

Step-by-Step Instructions for Kimchi Grilled Cheese
  1. Butter the outside of four slices of sourdough bread with salted butter.
  2. Assemble the sandwich with 2 slices of cheddar, kimchi, and 2 slices of gouda between the buttered bread.
  3. Form the sandwich by pressing the unbuttered sides together.
  4. Heat the skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  5. Cook the first side for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.
