Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil, the juice and zest of two fresh lemons, 1 tablespoon of honey, and a pinch of salt and pepper for about 30 seconds until well combined.
  2. In a large salad bowl, combine 6 cups of chopped romaine lettuce, 1/4 cup of thinly sliced red onion, and 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese. Add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes and gently toss the ingredients together.
  3. Drizzle the dressing over the salad mixture, tossing for about 30 seconds until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Serve the salad immediately after tossing to keep it crisp. Garnish with extra parmesan or lemon wedges if desired.
