  • 1/4 cup Tahini Essential for authentic flavor
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced; roasted adds sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Fresh juice gives the best taste
  • 1 pinch Salt Adjust according to dietary needs
For the Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata Olives Robust, salty flavor
  • 1/2 cup Castelvetrano Olives Milder sweetness

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and slice the baguette.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over baguette slices and toast in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  3. Soak rinsed chickpeas in hot water with baking soda and microwave for 90 seconds.
  4. Blend chickpeas, olive oil, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a food processor until smooth.
  5. Toast pine nuts in a skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Spread hummus on toasted baguette slices, top with olives and pine nuts, and drizzle with olive oil and paprika.
