- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted peanut butter, sugar, mashed bananas, vegetable oil, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; add vanilla extract and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the all-purpose flour until slightly lumpy, avoiding overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and top with banana slices if desired.
- Bake for about 55 minutes. Check doneness with a knife, and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes if needed.
- After baking, cool in the pan for about 20 minutes.
- Melt creamy peanut butter for 30 seconds and drizzle over the cooled banana bread.
