Ingredients
  

For the Fish
  • 4 fillets Tilapia could substitute with cod or sole
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or your favorite cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter vegan butter for dairy-free option
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or White Wine vegetable broth makes a vegetarian substitute
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream or coconut milk for a lighter version
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice freshly squeezed is best
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Parsley optional but recommended

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper, and cook for about 3 minutes on each side.
  3. Melt another tablespoon of butter in the skillet, then stir in minced garlic and sauté for 15 seconds.
  4. Whisk in chicken broth or white wine, scraping brown bits to deglaze the pan, and reduce for about 4 minutes.
  5. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and gradually whisk in the heavy cream until smooth.
  6. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice, adjust seasoning, and stir to combine.
  7. Plate the tilapia and pour the lemon garlic cream sauce over it.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
