Step-by-Step Instructions for Peach Lemonade
  1. Start by preparing the lemonade base. Squeeze fresh lemon juice from around 4-6 lemons into a measuring cup, ensuring you have about 1 cup. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the lemon juice with 1 cup of water and ½ cup of sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves, about 3-5 minutes. Once done, remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. While the lemonade base is cooling, wash and slice 4 ripe peaches, discarding the pits. Reserve about one-quarter of the slices for garnish later. Set aside the sliced peaches.
  3. In a blender, combine the remaining peach slices with one cup of the prepared lemonade and 1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves. Blend on high for about 30 seconds, or until smooth and creamy.
  4. For a smoother drink, strain the blended peach mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher, pressing to extract all the liquid.
  5. Combine the blended peach mixture with the remaining lemonade in a large pitcher and stir well.
  6. Just before serving, stir in the reserved peach slices and garnish with additional fresh mint leaves.
