Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt can be swapped with any thick yogurt
  • 1 cup water using milk adds creaminess
For the Coating
  • 2 cups white candy melts dark or milk chocolate can be used as alternatives
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening can be omitted if using high-quality melts
For the Color
  • 1 package food coloring (red & blue) gel food coloring is best
  • 1 cup red, white & blue sprinkles themed sprinkles can be used

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dishes with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, plain Greek yogurt, and water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter into three bowls. Color one with red food coloring, one with blue, and leave the last uncolored.
  4. Pour each batter into prepared baking dishes and bake for 12-15 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Once cooled, crumble the cakes into fine crumbs.
  6. Roll 1-2 tablespoons of cake crumb mixture into balls, and insert a cake pop straw halfway into each.
  7. Chill the cake pops in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  8. Melt white candy melts with shortening in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  9. Dip each cake pop into the melted coating, tap off excess, and add sprinkles.
  10. Chill decorated cake pops in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until set.
  11. Serve and enjoy your festive cake pops!
