Blueberry Preparation
- In a medium saucepan, combine frozen blueberries, 4 cups of filtered water, organic raw sugar, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Bring this mixture to a boil over medium heat, then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Use a potato masher or an immersion blender to crush the blueberries, straining the mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl to reserve the juice.
Tea Preparation
- Bring 6 cups of filtered water to a temperature between 170-180°F. Steep 6 green tea bags for 3 minutes, then remove the bags and let the tea cool.
Combining Mixtures
- Once the brewed green tea has cooled, pour it into a large pitcher and add the reserved blueberry juice along with the remaining 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Stir well.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice. Garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint leaves.
