  • 3 stalks Green Onions finely sliced; chives can substitute
For the Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil or olive oil in a pinch
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced; fresh is best
  • 1 thumb-sized piece Ginger minced; ground ginger can substitute

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prep your vegetables by slicing cabbage, chopping shiitake mushrooms, and slicing green onions. Mince garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and shiitake mushrooms to the skillet, stirring well and cooking for 3-5 minutes until cabbage is tender but still crunchy.
  5. Pour soy sauce over the mixture and stir to coat, cooking for an additional minute.
  6. Mix in sliced green onions and heat for another minute before serving.
