Ingredients
  

For the Rolls
  • 1 sheet Gim (Nori) Essential for structure and flavor
  • 2 cups Cooked rice Medium to short grain preferred
  • 1 medium Carrot Julienned
  • 1 medium Cucumber Seedless and julienned
For the Protein
  • 2 large Eggs Whisked
  • 4 links Sausages Cooked type preferred
  • 100 grams Imitation crab meat Optional
For Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil Adds nutty flavor
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1 tsp Sugar To taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper To taste

  • Bamboo sushi mat

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Julienne the carrots and salt the cucumber to draw out moisture, marinate the carrot strips for 10 minutes.
  2. Whisk the eggs and cook in a non-stick skillet to make a thin omelet, then roll and slice into strips.
  3. Fry sausages and imitation crab meat in the skillet until heated through and slightly crispy.
  4. Mix warm rice with sesame oil, salt, sugar, and pepper for seasoning.
  5. On a bamboo mat, lay a sheet of gim, spread seasoned rice, and layer with fillings.
  6. Roll the kimbap tightly without squishing the fillings and seal the edge with a bit of water.
  7. Slice the rolled kimbap into 9 to 10 pieces and drizzle with sesame oil before serving.
