Preparation Steps
- Wash the bell peppers and slice them into thin strips. Mince the garlic and gather the shrimp.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Transfer to a plate.
- In the same skillet, stir-fry the sliced bell peppers and minced garlic for 3-5 minutes.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and drizzle in soy sauce and oyster sauce.
- Combine and if desired, add cornstarch mixed with water, and stir well for 2 minutes.
- Stir-fry for an additional minute, taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions.
