Cooking Steps
- Rinse 1 cup of uncooked white rice under cold water. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice with 2 cups of beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer gently for 15-20 minutes until tender.
- Cut 1 pound of sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces. Season with 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add seasoned steak pieces to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking.
- Lower heat to medium and stir in 1 cup of queso dip until melted and combined with steak.
- Fluff the cooked rice and add to the skillet with the queso-steak mixture, stirring to combine.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. If desired, add a splash of beef broth for creaminess.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro and sliced jalapeños.
- Enjoy your Steak Queso Rice on its own or with tortilla chips.

Notes
For best results, do not overcrowd the pan while cooking the steak. Rinse the rice before cooking for fluffiness.
