- Cream butter in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, then add egg and mix well. Gradually incorporate flour until dough forms, adding cream or milk if needed.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/6 inch thick. Slice into strips about 3/4 inch wide.
- Twist each dough strip around the handle of a wooden spoon to create the corkscrew shape. Place crullers on parchment paper.
- Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry crullers in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
