Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
- In a large bowl, beat ¾ cup of softened unsalted butter with ½ cup of granulated sugar and ¾ cup of brown sugar, mixing for about 2 minutes.
- Add in 2 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown but the centers still appear soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 2 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
